The former Chelsea boss is understood to be keen on taking over at Old Trafford but the lack of action from the club has not gone down well with his representatives.
Jose Mourinho's patience with Manchester United is wearing thin as he holds out to become the Premier League side's next manager, according to ESPN.
The ex-Chelsea boss has long been linked with the Old Trafford hotseat and his representatives were reportedly in contact with United within 24 hours of his dismissal by the Blues.
Louis van Gaal remains in charge despite underwhelming recent results, however, and Mourinho is said to be keen to return to management and frustrated by the delay.
ESPN claim Mourinho's camp has already made informal contact with Inter and Paris Saint-Germain, forcing the United hierarchy to move fast if they wish to see the Portuguese in the Old Trafford dugout.
