After just seven months and one day in the job, Rafa Benitez has been sacked as coach of Real Madrid.
The decision comes the day after a 2-2 draw with Valencia which left the Spanish giants four points behind neighbours Atletico Madrid and two behind arch-rivals Barcelona in La Liga, having played one game more than the Catalans.
Reports of dressing-room unrest dogged Benitez from early on in his tenure but is half a season enough to fairly judge his performance at the Santiago Bernabeu?
